Just 5min ago…my husband and I had this little “tiff”.

My husband and I went to his family picnic yesterday and while at this picnic, his childhood best friend told him that his sister’s ex-husband was just diagnosed w/MS.

My husband just told me like oh hey here’s what happened yesterday. I was waiting to hear more of the story. What led to the diagnosis? How long has he had it? Anything!

I thought my husband would be all ears to asking questions about another person he knew that has MS. But nothing. He never asked any other questions.

This is how he is with everything. When someone tells him news about something, anything, non-important or not. He just doesn’t ask anything Someone close to him could pass and he be literally the last person to ask, “How?” or “What happened”.

Some people may think its being polite but I take it as not giving a shit.

I really don’t think he cares about anything.

He shows no emotion. Before and after diagnosis of MS.

I hate it.

I am not extremely emotional when it comes to crying but I do communicate how I feel. I do SHOW my emotions by asking questions, by touch, facial expressions…you name it.

It is getting really hard for me to be married to such an emotion-less and unaffectionate person and it sucks! I don’t know how I got here or why God brought him to me. Not to be mean.

Almost 8 years married and I do not feel connected anymore at all.

I am going to keep praying about it. He is a very awesome man. He is very sweet, never cussed me out, never raised his voice but just not emotionally there for me at all (EXACTLY LIKE MY FATHER WAS TO ME MOTHER, ACTUALLY). To me, he just doesn’t care about anything and doesn’t want to. No hobbies, no goals, doesn’t want to learn anything new. What interests you as a human being!?

I have what … 40-50yrs of this?

So is it better to have someone NICE and that shows zero emotion or someone that will cry with you, hug and kisses you…all the things you have ever wanted in a man but may yell/scream at you too?

I guess we all have our flaws.

Depends on what we are willing to handle.
